Almost there.....

Well we almost on our way... a few sleeps left for some of us... NOW - who comprises the team:

To start - we have rather strong personalities with very few laid back (read understanding) personalities-

Oh dear

So we decided to do a profiling (yes like CSI) on the crew:  watch this space...

Well let's start with the gentleman - the alleged laid back understanding man - the one who will keep the crew "together" - ha ha

Welcome to "Mark" -    

Well unbeknown to the rest of the crew - he is already in London - ( only over a week early...). - how did we find out - oh yeah - last minute calls to wish each other safe travels... You know the caring crew thing???

And the Team Oarsome South Africa (Mr Gentleman - allas "Mark") response " What Do You want..??? ."

Suppose we should be grateful - we got a response ... He answered the phone... And he is the nice guy - ??? the one who will hold the team together???

Then we move on to the illustrious organizers - Tim and Wendy - and yes - despite the intro - they're married....

Tim - or for those of you not in the know - Dr Hutton - is an organizer of note, a strategist par excellance not to mention Mr Fix-It - whenever needed. But note - a strategist , an organizer - oh yeah - everyone best listen...













Wendy - a kinder soul you will have to search for - a woman who gets things done - a financial guru - oh yeah - she also has a mind of her own ...











Simon - a businessman and entrepreneur - (yes once again read - my way or... ), - he is also a fixer, organizer and a person who does more than pull his weight (but he has lost so much weight maybe a bad analogy)... Also a natural leader...





Then Simon's son - most of the crew does not know him yet - but part of the UK rowing squad and he has survived life under Simon - cannot wait to meet this intrepid kid...








Sue - oh yeah - dynamite in small packages - an artist, adventure racer, see earlier blogs - less than 50 Kgs - but beware - another independent soul with a mind of her own...














Then on the support front (with this team we gonna need it) - Leslie - Simon's wife. Another accolade - survivor and enjoys life - living with rowers. A mix of fun, wisdom and a "take it in your stride" mindset. Yes - she probably is the sole deserving medal winner.












Me - just want to survive Canal Di Midi - 200km's with an Oarsome independent group...
